Our Story

Our story is her story.

At the age of 33, our founder, Shauna Martin, was diagnosed with breast cancer. With a young family to care for, Shauna struggled to recover from the trauma of multiple surgeries and the toxic effects of chemotherapy.

Nine years clear, Shauna attributes her complete recovery from breast cancer in part, to her current healthy lifestyle. Shauna decided that she wanted to share this life-enriching habit and spread the good word.

Getting friends and family to veg out

At first, family and friends were a little leery of the green juice that Shauna swore by. Sure, the benefits were undeniable. But the juice was so…green. And the juicing was so time-consuming. That’s when Shauna realized that in order to get her friends and family on board, she had to do two things: Do the juicing herself. And make sure that her daily green drinks were delicious.

In fact, the original Daily Greens™ crowd-pleasing flavor, Vitality, was inspired by local Austin BBQ. Shauna hit on the idea that if she could give her drink the same sweet, spicy, salty flavor of BBQ, she could win over her meat-eating friends. After experimenting with multiple ingredients and handing out dozens of samples to friends and strangers, she came up with a magical recipe that every red-blooded, meat-loving American can’t get enough of.

History repeats itself, flavor after new flavor

Shauna’s goal is to have as many people as possible get their daily greens through one of her drinks. Which is why she continues to create additional flavors. Consisting of a perfect blend of organic, nutrient-rich dark leafy greens and lighter, juicer greens, each new drink is sure to be as delicious as it is nutritious. Quality-tested with our chefs and our growing legion of fans, we do everything in our power to ensure that you are drinking something that we believe will change your life for the better, for good.

Cowgirl Up.

During her two years of treatment for breast cancer, Shauna co-founded a support group for young survivors known as the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls. The Pink Ribbon Cowgirls is a social network of younger breast cancer survivors committed to helping other young women diagnosed with breast cancer not just survive, but thrive. A portion of Daily Greens™ sales are set aside to grant funding to groups like the Pink Ribbon Cowgirls that provide services to young women battling breast cancer. The mission: Not just survive, but thrive. Yee-haw indeed.
